Coffee Pot is an informal Coffee Morning on a Friday morning in St Clement’s hall, 10:00am- noon, and has been taking place for 40 years.
The Revd Canon David Naumann, the Rector at the time, and members of the congregation, felt the need for an informal meeting place especially for people living alone and carers.
To this day we follow much the yearly pattern of the early days. Excellent contacts to the Infants – and Sir Roger Manwood’s – School have been established. A large choir of Infant school pupils visits us at Christmas time and for our Strawberry morning. The Charity Committee from Manwood’s kindly treats us a couple of times a year to refreshments and entertainment. These uplifting inter-generational contacts are greatly appreciated.
Normally we get between 12 and 20 attendees, nearly as many men as women. They come from all faiths and none – everyone is very welcome. You don’t have to live alone, be a carer or of a certain age to join us.
