St Clement’s is steeped in history. There has been a place of Christian worship here for over 1,000 years. St Edward the Confessor prayed here in 1050, as did St Thomas Becket on his way to martyrdom in 1170. Our font has been a place of baptism since 1406.
Today we are a community living out an ancient faith in the contemporary world. We gather regularly to worship, to learn about God, and to share fellowship with one another. We are committed to discerning God’s will as we seek to serve Sandwich as the parish church, and the wider world as Christians of the twenty first century.
I hope you will come to visit us. All are welcome at our acts of worship, information on regular services can be found by clicking here, and outside of these services St Clement’s is open daily from 10:00am until 4:00pm (May-September) or 11:00am to 3:00pm (October-April).
Wishing you the joy of the Risen Christ,
